Chalk it up

We love weddings. We love signs. We love chalkboards. So seeing brides put all three of those things together obviously gets us going! It's simple and cute and says exactly what you want- it's perfect!

Use them as welcome signs, seating charts, menus, invitations, labels, whatever you want, it'll look amazing. Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

The First Glimpse

There are a lot of “first glimpse” images floating around Pinterest right now so it’s no surprise that this non-traditional practice is getting more and more popular. Every bride wants to watch her man’s face the first time he sees her. It’s such a special time for couples that photographers love to capture that moment. The dilemma is when he first gets to see the bride.

A lot of couples have strayed from the tradition of waiting to see each other till the bride is walking down the aisle and opted instead to have an intimate time together before the ceremony. Couples get to spend a little time away from the wedding day madness and just be together for a few minutes. Check out these pictures captured of the first glimpse.

Favors

At some point you as a bride will have to answer to question - Do we want to do favors? While many brides are steering away from the tradition in order to save a little money, I say favors are definite do! Our favorite favors are the ones you don't always see coming. Stay away from anything monogrammed and dated - sure it's cute for you, but your guests aren't really going to want a glass with your initials on it. Our advice? Make it cute and simple. Something guests will appreciate but won't break your budget.

Professional cookies are huge right now. You can custom order whatever shape, color, and design you want! We're all about supporting your local businesses so look to see if there are any bakers who live by you. And here's a secret; check Facebook. *Cookies pictured are from Artistic Noggin Cookies

If cookies aren't you thing don't worry, there are plenty of other ideas out there. Go with something that compliments your wedding style. If your wedding is taking place outside, give away birdseed. If you're both big coffee drinkers, give away some coffee beans! You get the picture. Have fun with it! Here are a few of our favorites.

They are an easy way to add a lot to your decorations. Everything from streamers, flowers, fabric, and pictures have been used- and they all look awesome. Check out some of our favorites.

The Grand Exit

You've walked down the aisle, kissed the groom, danced with your father, tossed your bouquet, and now it's time to make your grant exit. And we do mean grand! Leaving your wedding is just as special  as coming - you've done it! You're married! So don't forget to celebrate!

If rice isn't your thing than don't worry - there are tons or ways to spice up your exit. From bubbles to sparklers to umbrellas, anything will work! Check out these pictures for a little inspiration.

Meet me in the morning

Some of my favorite pictures are of everyone getting ready the morning of the wedding. As a bride you can feel like the day flew by so having pictures to look back on is so so important. You want to remember every detail; where you sat, who did your hair, when you first stepped into your dress, what coffee you drank, everything is special! Most photographers will be there for the entire process but if for some reason they aren't, make sure to have someone (not a bridesmaid because you'll want them in the shots) to take pictures.

xoxo
